20. BUYING A NEW COMPUTER?

Your new Vista computer should have:

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
Memory 1 GB, better 2GB
Graphics Card 128Mbps 256 MB is better.
120 to 250 GB Hard Drive and up
19" LCD Monitor (If buying a laptop 15.4" monitor is fine.)
DVD-RW Drive To burn CD's or DVD's.
Digital Media Reader for your Digital Camera memory card.

Windows Vista Premium (comes with Firewall and AntiSpyware program)

Speakers with a sub-woofer
Good Surge Protector
Optical Mouse
AntiVirus Program

Microsoft spent 6 years developing Vista and it is was time well spent. Windows Vista Premium is faster, more colorful, more user friendly, and has a lot of new programs built in that will save you time and aggravation.

If your computer is 2 or 3 years old we do not recommend upgrading from XP to Vista.
