17. MAKE AN EMERGENCY STARTUP DISK:

This is a disk that allows you to restart from the floppy drive if there's a problem with your hard drive.

If you have trouble starting Windows 95, 98, or Me you can use a Startup Disk to start your computer, run diagnostic programs Error-checking (scan disk), and fix many problems.

To create a Startup Disk Double Click MY COMPUTER, RIGHT CLICK 3 1/2 FLOPPY (A:), click on FORMAT, at the bottom put a check mark in Create a MS-DOS Startup Disk.
