On a Program like Quicken:
Go to File, Backup and put it on a floppy, USB Flash Drive, CD or DVD-RW. On your new computer Go to File, Restore. This only applies to data. You must install Quicken on your new computer from the original CD.

Don't try to copy ANY programs because them must be installed.
They won't work right if you just copy them.

WARNING !!! ( or it just may have been me)

Windows XP has a transfer utility. I had a bad time with it. I also tried to use another Program cost $70 (with rebates $30) it came with an USB Cable, this one really screwed up my computer. Someone in the class suggested the cable can be used to hang yourself. Wayne Bell said he used it once and he would never use it again.

(If you have used one of these programs please email your experience.)

I want you to know that I spent all day yesterday with Dell Support to get my computer straightened out, we finally had to do the big one and Reformat and reinstall all programs and data and to get back online with insightbb.

The Dell System support people were located in the Philippines
